WWE announcers told not to mention Mick Foley

Mick Foley has been saying on his social media accounts that WWE announcers are purposely not acknowleding him when Bad News Barrett does the trademark elbow drop off the ring apron to the outside of the ring. For those that don’t know, Foley was first guy to start doing that in the late 80s and did it on a national stage in the early 90s in WCW. On Monday’s Raw Barrett did the elbow again and sold like his hip was hurt.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest Wrestling Observer newsletter that it’s very clear that the announcers have been given the directive not to mention Foley’s name.
