4. Not Putting Guys Over
The irony of this point is of course that The Undertaker just lost clean at WrestleMania 30. Before that however, try to count how many times he lost clean in his 24 year WWE career. Not many. Sure, it was part of his character, it was part of his fabled respect, but his rarity to be anything other than victor is certainly something which gets overlooked when talking about controversies. If this was anyone else, Shawn Michaels for example, the internet wrestling community would be up in arms. Yet Taker has somehow managed to continually get away without doing his share of jobs, squashing numerous talents along the way… and then when he did do a job, to Brock Lesnar at Mania 30, it was arguably the wrong job to do.
It might not be an immediate issue of controversy with the fans, but Taker’s history of never losing has to be looked on without sentiment – even the likes of Hogan have done more jobs than The Undertaker.
