1 John Cena Looks Strong Heading Into Major Match With Brock Lesnar
John Cena is a big match performer that usually comes through in the clutch. He’s a 15 time World Champion that has competed in nearly every style of match and always found a way to overcome the odds. That’s what fans hate about him, but it’s also what makes him valuable as a performer. When he loses it’s a big deal because of all the success he has had. When guys like Daniel Bryan and CM Punk beat him to become WWE Champion it means more. You can’t deny that.
At Battleground, Cena was in a Fatal 4-Way against Randy Orton, Kane and Roman Reigns. All night long WWE drove home the point that he had a 25% chance of winning and that he could lose without being pinned. The match had an exciting finish in the last five minutes with all four guys hitting finishers numerous times only for somebody else to break up the pin.
To nobody’s surprise, Cena ended up victorious after giving Randy Orton the Attitude Adjustment on top of Kane while Reigns was out of the ring after receiving a RKO. Cena proved once again that he was the best. Some fans might complain that it’s the same old thing we’re used to, but he is the true face of WWE and it makes sense that he would be WWE Champion going into SummerSlam.
Since Cena was victorious at Money in the Bank and Battleground he has proven once again that he’s “the man” in WWE and his next big challenge will be to face off with “The Beast” Brock Lesnar. With Lesnar coming into the match with momentum after beating The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, he’s as strong as ever too.
It’s good booking by WWE. We want to see winners face off. After Cena proved himself again, his next test will be his biggest in the form of Lesnar.
