Daniel Bryan AKA Bryan Danielson is arguably the most popular wrestler in the world at the moment. The injured WWE superstar – who was recently forced to relinquish his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, due to his inability to defend it – is a fan favourite across the board, due to his almost unrivalled in-ring skill and a highly likeable personality.
Bryan originally trained under Shawn Michaels and Rudy Gonzalez at the Texas Wrestling Academy, before wrestling in promotions such as Memphis Championship Wrestling and Japan’s premier promotion, New Japan Pro Wrestling. He also signed a developmental contract with the then World Wrestling Federation around that time, but left the company after being used mostly as enhancement talent.
He then went to Ring of Honor before touring the independent circuit until he returned to the WWF (which was now World Wrestling Entertainment) in 2009, lasting a year (during the whole Nexus storyline) before briefly returning to the independent circuit. He then returned to the WWE in 2010, where he has been ever since, and he has undeniably made a success of things.
He’s the epitome of a worker and has taken a hectic route to finally get where he is now and, as such, he’s a great role model.
So, based on things that WWE superstar Daniel Bryan has said, done and achieved – both in his wrestling career and in his personal life – here are ten life lessons that all men can learn from him…
