3. The Miz Was A Good Choice To Win The Intercontinental Title

The Intercontinental Title match had 20 men going at it in a battle royal to determine who would be the next IC Champion after Bad News Barrett had to vacate the title due to shoulder surgery. Barrett was actually there to deliver bad news and to tell the new champion that he would be coming for him when he’s ready.
There were a few guys that were seen as the favorites going into it: Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro, Bo Dallas and because of his status as a former main eventer, The Miz.
It was a match dominated by Sheamus for the most part. He eliminated several guys in impressive fashion and looked like he would be tough to beat. Ziggler received the loudest ovations in the match. Cesaro got eliminated by Heath Slater of all people and Dallas couldn’t get the job done either. The Miz spent much of the match outside the ring. When the time was right, he went back in to eliminate Ziggler at the end and he became the IC Champion.
The Miz is now a three time IC Champion. His two other reigns were boring and uneventful with one of them lasting one day. At least this time he’s got a heel character that can draw massive heat as a Hollywood elite that thinks he’s better than everybody. This could be exactly the kind of thing that can revive his career.
