10 Depressing WWE Career Free Falls 6

6. The Miz

It’s kind of amazing that The Miz ever got as far up on the WWE ladder that he did. When he debuted on SmackDown, the odds of him being released within a month were probably higher than they were for him ever winning the WWE Title. At this point, he’s been an on-air talent for over eight years, and will probably be with the company in some capacity for years to come.
Miz’s Peak: WrestleMania XXVII. Sure, the main event of the show was more about the interaction between The Rock and John Cena, but still, very few people can ever lay claim to closing out Mania.
Where he is Now: Just one month after WrestleMania, Miz lost the title to John Cena. The following month he lost to him again, even though he had Alex Riley helping him the entire time. It was one of wrestling’s greatest massacres. He then entered a program with his former protege and came out on the losing side. The next few months saw him job to anyone and everyone. Fans grew increasingly tired of him, and he finally went away to go film some low budget movies. These days, he’s received a new gimmick, and a new push to go along with his supposed Hollywood persona.
Chance of a Comeback: 30%. It’s doubtful that we’ll ever see The Miz main event a WrestleMania again, but I wouldn’t completely rule it out to see him main event a minor pay-per-view or two.
