8. David Hart Smith
Whenever you’re a second, third or even fourth generation wrestling star, it can be tough to make your own mark on the WWE without continually being compared to your relatives. There are plenty of examples of guys struggling to break out of the limelight their predecessors created in years gone by, and David Hart Smith certainly falls into that category.
In truth, Smith was overshadowed by two of the greatest wrestlers of all-time – given how his father is The British Bulldog and his uncle is Bret Hart. He was hamstrung by a 30-day suspension not long after initially making his WWE debut, but The Hart Dynasty concept was a good one, and it certainly paid dividends for a lengthy period. However, after the stable split the booking of both Smith and Tyson Kidd was absolutely disastrous, and although Kidd is still with the company, Smith left way back in 2011.
