10 WWE Stars Who Made Amazing Recoveries From Drug Addiction 4

4. Jeff Hardy

Since 2002, the following went down with Jeff Hardy:
WWE eventually gave him the “rehab or you’re fired” ultimatum when he had a bad painkiller and crystal meth habit, and he chose “fired.”
TNA fired him for no-showing numerous events, including pay-per-views
WWE rehired him quickly, and while he was was re-energized in the ring and having awesome matches, especially with Umaga, he was suspended for failing drug tests twice, in July 2007 and March 2008.

Hardy did a video posted online where he rants about CM Punk while clearly unwell and bragging about his own drug intake.
Arrested on a number of felony drug charges after he had accepted a fan’s offer to send a coffee can (really) containing 262 painkiller pills to Jeff, it was deemed suspicious and inspected, and the police set up a bust forwhen he accepted it.  The police found other drugs and he was charged with a number of felonies.
He returned to TNA the day he was indicted.

While he had been sentenced to treatment, he eventually got high DURING a pay-per-view and Sting had to shoot pin him to end a match early.
He was sent home and after a long time and a lot of doubt, he cleaned up his act.  I hope it sticks, because while he was less public most of the time, his problems were said to be worse than those of….
