A former WWE wrestling champion put a burglar who he caught ransacking his home in a chokehold as he waited for the police to arrive.

Bryan Danielson - better known as Daniel Bryan - was pulling into the entrance of his home in Phoenix when he spotted two suspects running out of the property.
The wrestling star - who is recovering from neck surgery - caught one of the burglars and put him in a chokehold to subdue him until police arrived.

Both suspects dropped "their loot" when they spotted the athlete returning to his home, Phoenix police said.

"Unfortunately, he wasn't in very good shape so it didn't take much." the former champion said of the alleged thief.
