3. Daniel Bryan’s Return To The Ring
When former WWE Champion Daniel Bryan underwent neck surgery in mid-May there were reports that said he might only miss a month of action. That changed when Bryan didn’t heal from his injuries quick enough. At the end of June, Bryan appeared at the Money in the Bank PPV to confirm reports that he might need another shoulder. He didn’t specify what surgery it would be, but indications are that it would be on his shoulder.
A lot of the time when a guy gets injured we know when they might return. When Sheamus had shoulder surgery last summer we figured he would be back around the Royal Rumble and that’s when he returned. When a guy tears his ACL we know it’s going to be 6-8 months. In the case of Bryan we really don’t know.
If he has another surgery it might set him back several more months. If he doesn’t, will his neck hold up thanks to rehab? None of us know. It must be driving him crazy to sit at home without knowing when he can return to the job he loves. There are also questions about how long his career will be because when you have a surgery on your neck it’s definitely a career shortening thing.
Even though we don’t know when he will come back, one thing is for sure: we definitely miss Daniel Bryan.
