8. You Can Bounce Back From Anything
-----------aaddd_----Daniel Bryan’s career has taken a number of big hits over the years – both in terms of real life setbacks and kayfabe downturns – and yet he has come back from every single one of them to reach the very top of the wrestling pyramid.
He has been released from companies on several occasions, including from Memphis Championship Wrestling in 2001 and from the WWE in 2009 – and he’s now at the very top of the latter company.
He suffered an NXT eviction in the inaugural series in 2009 that saw him as the first to leave – but he returned as part of the WWE team that would face his former NXT competitors at Summerslam 2010 – a match that Team WWE won, with Bryan outlasting everyone on his team apart from John Cena.
He suffered a humiliating 18 second loss to Sheamus in a World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestlemania XXVIII – one of the shortest title matches in WWE history – which actually ended up working in his favour, as fans rebelled against what they saw as a waste of both Bryan and Sheamus’ talents.
He has also suffered a number of terrible injuries, including his current injury – a herniated disc that has required neck surgery – and several more in his career that include a separated shoulder, an eye injury and a nerve injury.
He’s come back from it all, proving that people can bounce back from anything – and that’s something everyone can learn from him.
