10 Depressing WWE Career Free Falls

10 Depressing WWE Career Free Falls

Sometimes it seems that WWE just likes to mess with their own talent. We’ve seen them give certain wrestlers a big push, then suddenly pull the plug. It’s frustrating to watch as a fan, and must be maddening as a wrestler. Sometimes this loss in faith is due to a poor crowd reaction, and it clearly wasn’t working. Other times an injury derails a wrestler’s career, and they never get back on track. The worst instances are when it appears that Vince McMahon is wanting to “test” his wrestlers, and see how they handle the demotion.
It makes it hard to emotionally invest in an act when the WWE machine gets behind your new favorite wrestler, and they quickly turn into a jobber. Vince isn’t very good at hiding his feelings about a talent, and it becomes clear when he loses all faith in someone.
Right now, the roster is filled with wrestlers who have fallen from great career heights. They’ve been hurt from erratic booking, and may never reclaim their former glory. Some of these falls happened in a matter of years, others in months or less. Had they been protected better, we could have a much stronger product with talent that was over. We’d have a more intriguing product, and three hour Raws wouldn’t be such a chore. Unfortunately, that isn’t the case, and many have suffered.
Here are ten wrestlers currently on the roster with the most depressing career free falls.
