1. Legal Action
As discussed earlier, Alberto confirmed that the WWE has taken action against him in order to extend the length of his no-compete clause. Supposedly, WWE was able to do this because of the altercation that led to Del Rio’s release, as well as his subsequent breach in appearing for AAA. The new clause ensures that Alberto will be unable to compete for any wrestling organization within the United States for nearly a full year.
Meanwhile, as previously mentioned, Mysterio may find himself locked into his contract for an even more extended period of time. Both competitors, arguably, could bring cases against the WWE for preventing them to work elsewhere. Furthermore, Del Rio could potentially sue the company for the perceived discrimination he faced while working there.
Only time will tell what will happen for sure in regards to both superstars, as well as the WWE. However, for now, things are generally not well as Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio continue to rock the WWE’s boat.
