Mickie James was most recently seen in TNA, but that company is not known for longevity unless you’re AJ Styles. If you look at the roster today compared to two years ago, the landscape of America’s No. 2 wrestling promotion is completely different. She could probably make more working for WWE for three months than in a year working for TNA.
James ended up leaving WWE amid rumors of some kind of situation with John Cena, but that doesn’t mean she can’t come back for one match or a short run. Many who have had issues with Vince McMahon or someone else on the roster have returned. It’s the nature of the business. They say time heals all wounds and WWE has certainly shown that to be true by taking back people who have even gone as far as to trash the company publically.

Mickie James was extremely popular with fans and would almost certainly be welcomed back into the fold with open arms. Some kind of program with AJ Lee or another Diva on the verge of breaking out would do wonders for the division, especially if James is still able to put on the kind of performances she used to in WWE.
