5. Randy Orton
Like Batista, the only real interaction Randy Orton has had with The Rock was during Evolution’s feud with The Rock ‘n Sock Connection. Orton lead the charge on the mic against Rocky at the time, but it was a team vs. team battle. This means a singles feud between The Viper and The Great One would be completely original.The great thing about this pairing is how good both men are in the ring. They both have their signature set of about six big moves that pop the crowd, but they can both put on a 30-mihute match that never gets old. Everything they do is so smooth that they would steal the show from anyone and everyone.
Orton likes to consider himself the face of WWE. All they would need to do is have The Authority suck up to The Rock when he returns, prompting jealousy in Orton. It’s a very familiar storyline because we have seen it before, but the reason it keeps being used is because it works. Everyone understands how it feels to be jealous, so it’s not a far stretch to believe it when a character acts that way.
