7. Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero was a guy who created a legacy out of being a cunning, savvy wrestler. His gimmick dictated that he lied, cheated and stole his way to numerous victories – but he was also a mighty fine risk taker, too.
He was a nimble, agile guy in his peak, and that made for some incredibly entertaining moments throughout his career with the WWE. He was almost like a precursor to Rey Mysterio; a technically gifted guy that wasn’t afraid to throw his body around the ring, sometimes with outrageous consequences. He used the ropes to his advantage on plenty of occasions, tossing himself at opponents in segments that sent the crowd wild. And as well as that, Guerrero perhaps shed more blood for the cause than any other wrestler in recent history. He had an outrageously brutal match with John “Bradshaw” Layfield at Judgement Day 2004, where he took a sickening chair shot to the head. There was blood everywhere, and it was a risky tactic to take in order to make the match appealing. However, it worked, and summed up Guerrero’s willingness to give it his all throughout his career.
Tragically taken too early from the world of wrestling, Guerrero is more than worth his place on this list. When it comes to guys who will take a bump to entertain, “Latino Heat” is up there with the very best.
